Digital Securities & Tokenization Summit Recap

Digital Securities & Tokenization Summit Recap

Implementing blockchain into the traditional finance industry sounds like a complex concept, and it may be, but there are plenty of organizations around the globe doing just that. Earlier this week we attended the Digital Securities & Tokenization Summit, where we were introduced to other leaders at the forefront of this financial revolution.

Though the conference was held online, there was no shortage of exciting new developments and informative presentations regarding the tokenization of securities and assets. This summit focused on the financial industry’s transition over to a blockchain-based infrastructure. Most of the talking points revolved around this infrastructure being more efficient, cost-effective, and error-resistant. The purpose was to inform representatives of the many new opportunities that blockchain technology provides, especially when it comes to the tokenization of securities and assets.

Here’s a list of some of the industry trailblazers that were in attendance:

  • Patrick Schmitt, Founder & Managing Partner at Levolution
  • Solomon Tesfaye, Head of Business Development & Capital Markets at tZERO
  • Thomas Borrell, Chief Product Officer at Polymath
  • Brett Tejpaul, Head of Institutional Sales, Trading, Custody, & Prime Services at Coinbase

These are just some of the participants that were present at the event; there was no shortage of industry leaders and experts in attendance.

There was plenty to take away from this event; including new perspectives of how established companies can implement blockchain technology and tokenization to reform their business models or create a new source of revenue.
